Voted The Best Fun Place for Kids for more than a decade, the museum provides exciting, hands-on exhibits in eight galleries for children aged birth through 10 years, and features a variety of exhibit topics including early learning, construction and design, healthy lifestyles, the environment and art.
This is a change to get the whole family involved. Rain or shine it is always a fun time! Many runs are free or low cost, often the proceeds benefit a local charity or event so it is a win win for all. They are a family farm and have been in the business of growing flower bulbs since the mid 1930's. Currently the fourth generation to continue to own and operate this venture. They grow about 70 different varieties of daffodils and 30 varieties of tulips. A lovely display garden is located on the farm and is in full bloom during the spring months to help customers visualize what many of our varieties might look like in their own yards. Bulbs can be pre-ordered at this time, as it is a good opportunity to actually view all of the different varieties and their individual characteristics.

Come explore the only combined zoo and aquarium in the Northwest. You'll see sharks and seahorses, polar bears and peacocks, walruses and wolves, all in one place! Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium is large enough to offer an awesome array of animals yet small enough for you to get really close to them. It's fun and affordable, and offers breathtaking views of Puget Sound, Mount Rainier and the Olympic Mountains.
Take advantage of the comfortable morning temperatures and see what local farmers and artisans are offering. The market provides countless opportunities to teach, and you might just get the kids to try a new vegetable for once. Kids love samples!
